We’ve had a lot of success with our first few webinars, so we’re going to
keep it up! Based on attendee feedback, we’ve decided to make this next
webinar a Technical Q&A session with members of our product team and
developer support.
The Layar Technical Q&A will take place on Thursday, October 13, at 5pm Amsterdam time (CEST). We ask that you submit questions a week in advance (by Thursday, October 6) to webinar@layar.com so we can choose the most relevant ones beforehand and be better prepared to address as many questions as possible.
We welcome general questions related to all aspects of product or layer
development. Please keep in mind that we will only be answering
questions that benefit both you and the group.
Last Thursday we hosted a Layar Vision Best Practices webinar, where our product and R&D departments provided examples of good vs. bad reference images and answered developer questions.
In case you missed it, you can download the Best Practices webinar here, or access all of our webinars on the wiki.
We’re hosting our next webinar Thursday, October 13 at 5pm Amsterdam time (CEST). This time we’ll be addressing technical questions dealing with all aspects of Layar development, and we’re asking you to submit questions and suggested topics to webinar[at]layar[dot]com a week in advance (by Thursday, 6 October).
In a continued effort to help make all interested parties into expert Layar Vision developers, we’re hosting another webinar this Thursday at 5pm Amsterdam time (CEST), this time to provide examples of the best and worst types of reference images.
Join Layar Vision expert Michael Hofmann to make sure you’re choosing the most augmentable reference images possible for your Vision layers. Register now!
In case you weren’t able to attend the Introduction to Layar Vision webinar that King Yiu Chu hosted last Friday, September 9, we posted the audio recording and presentation slides here for download.
Here at Layar, we like to stay busy creating new concepts, improving existing products, and sharing our hopes, dreams and coolest new endeavors with our community.
Some days we do all of these things at once—and last Thursday (Sept. 1) was one of those days.
First, we hosted a webinar for developers interested in the Creation Challenge, and had a great turnout! You can download the audio file for the September 1 Creation Challenge webinar as well as a PDF of the presentation here.
If you missed last week’s webinar, do not despair! We’re hosting another one, this time an Introduction to Layar Vision, this Friday, September 9. Register now!
After the webinar, we kicked off another Augmented Reality Thursday (ART), a monthly meetup we host to share news, exchange ideas and visions, and meet others interested in Augmented reality.
Check out this video of last week’s ART presentations from Layar Co-founder and General Manager Maarten Lens FitzGerald, Layar Research and Development’s Michael Hofmann and renowned ARtist Sander Veenhof. These fellas show off some cool new Layar concepts!
Last week we hosted a webinar to help developers with their concepts for the Creation Challenge. We had such a great response from new developers, brands and others who were interested but not yet in the Challenge that we decided to host another webinar for everyone who wants to know more about Layar Vision!
We will be holding our Introduction to Layar Vision webinar this Friday, September 9, at 5pm Amsterdam time (CEST). Both Veteran Layar developers and brand new Layar developers are invited to attend for concept inspiration and use case examples, as are brand managers or others who are considering an augmented reality element within their mobile application.
You don’t have to be part of the Creation Challenge (or even know how to develop a layer) to join the webinar, you just need to be interested. Sign up now!
